4/1 where's the furlough announcement
#51
Funny how stupid management is. And they get paid the big bucks. I just hope the union doesnt bargain any rights of furloughees away in exchange for anything.... So if NJA is 300 pilots fat why all the empty threats of another furlough?
This place sucks right now.

Why not, it's a free scare tactic. As long as NJASAP is spending time with it, NJA management will run with it as long as they can, until a time when it is inconcievable..
OR NJA likes spending roughly $30,000,000+ (yearly) on pilots it supposedly doesn't need... Since these disposals were planned all along (read the Furlough Working Group letter from Luthi, these disposals have been planned all along, it should be no suprise to the union these disposals are taking place now) NJA must know what the future plan is/will be and why they may need those "extra" 300 pilots...
Sometimes I think all the shock and aw from the Union leadership is a result of them not being an integral part of managements daily happenings, and they're ticked off with this.
June 21st..... nothing yet....
I may prove to be way wrong, but for now I am not seeing any links between what has been threatened and what is actually occurring.

...So a friend of a friend who was at FSI in CMH says the instructers there have it on good reliable word the furloughs will happen in August. Now *** would nja furlough in August but not right now? I still dont believe a furlough is coming but if it does, nja is going to look like a ship of fools and idiots to the buying public. When all the other flight operations are buying planes, recalling pilots, advertising, etc and retarded nja is dumping more pilots, that sends a signal of PURE INCOMPETANCY to everyone. The recent 2 inflight and much publicized emergencies really dont help too much either.
Just my 2 cents.

Totally agree with the ship of fools....Dichter has been on CNBC twice in the last couple months saying how great things are going. How NJA is at a 7 trending 8 outta 10 compared to 2007...How great the management team is, how great the pilots are...etc...Totally agree, "if" they were to furlough, it would make for a great "what the F$$$ is wrong with them management types in CMH!!", conversation...
NJASAP leadership has semi publicly stated that they don't expect any major happenings throughout the summer, and the pendulum is swinging better nowadays... I think the Union would know something before a friend of a friend at FSI CMH.....
starnger things have happened....June 30th..no furloughs

By the way kingAir fun, I was wrong, you were right. When the working environment started to detoriorate and morale began to sink, I seriously though the older guys (66 and above) would start throwing in the towel, or at least some of them. Why deal with this? but that has not been the case at all, nobody is going anywhere.
