FYI,
I recently had the phone screening. It lasted a little over an hour. Be prepared for it. It is not as light as I had anticipated, and there were many TMAAT questions as well as "What do you know about XOJet?" "Why XOJet?" etc. There were also operation WWYD scenario questions.
Overall the tone was relaxed and the pilot was more than willing to explain the company and the day to day of flight operations. He didn't shy away from some of the negatives, but was clearly happy at XOJet.
I'm moving on to the technical portion and Skype interview soon.
Any specific questions, PM me.

If you go to some weird out of the way place you may stay at the occasional crap hole.
You may be on min rest a few days a week or everyday on your rotation. It depends. It really is The Price Is Right Plinko Chip game. You never know whats going to happen.
layovers are anywhere between 10 hours and 3 days (if you're broke hard)
mostly 10 hours.

Sometimes that's the case. You can make it work. If I see a short overnight I don't hesitate to order a crew meal, or two even so I can get a workout in. Like I said 70% min rest overnights are just my experience but I'm sure others have different tales to tell.

The transition from 121 to fractional is not easy for some people. No doubt people with previous 135 experience will transition easier to the ad hoc lifestyle. When you compare min rest to what you see at the 121 legacies or LCCs there is no comparison.

For anyone curious, after the companies last board meeting with investors some new changes starting March 1:
FO pay now:
1st yr: 55,000
2nd yr: 62,500
3rd yr: 65,000
4th yr: 67,500
5th yr: 70,000 (cap)
In theory with the movement should not take that long to upgrade but nice to know in event of industry stagnation.
401k now 1/1 dollar up to 5k. This is up from .25/1.00 when I started.
Full day pay for having a 16 hr transition day or getting in past 12:00am (this could still use improvement IMO), still half day for after 10:00pm.
Allegedly upper management is supposed to be working on more civilized transition days as well.
Not great but not terrible and at least moving in the right direction.

Nice to see the bump and movement in the right direction for you guys.
I recently visited job fair and had a phone screen with one of the captains/recruiters.
I enjoyed the conversations and I liked the folks I have interacted with as they seemed "on the level" about pros and cons. I found a lot to like about what I heard (great flying, decent pay, great crews/equipment, good advancement opportunities and a management that sounds interested in making it an attractive place to hang around for the long term).
The 8/6 schedule is daunting, however. It sounds like a 7/7 just ain't going to happen. OK....
For me, if the vacation time schedule was improved, the 8/6 would be far more attractive. Man, would love to see 2 weeks vacation offered at year two. 3 weeks at year 5. Then, it would be a super appealing opportunity.
Anyone there see a glimmer of hope in this regard?
