Sorry to say it, but many regionals are now paying more first year.

Yeah, but you will enjoy a much better quality of life here at Xojet while building jet time. Not to mention all the fringe benefits we get.

Anyone know projected hiring plans?

Classes every month for attrition only, no new aircraft deliveries or expansion. We are very busy with our current fleet numbers. Hiring for the foreseeable future. XoJet hires a good mix of lower time folks as well as retired airline guys and gals. Best way to get an interview is through a referral or job fair. We do a pretty good job of hiring good people in which you can spend 8 days with on the road with.

I agree with you. The Round Table (which is our negotiating committee of sorts) has been working pretty hard at trying to improve pilot pay. The only question is will management do something while there's still time to attract and retain pilots. Or will they wait and balk and push it out until they can't keep anyone around or hire any replacements and wonder what happened? Hopefully they move on compensation sooner rather than later.

Maybe the money saved by asking crews to service their own engine oil will be reallocated into pilot salaries...but probably not.

The health benefits are definitely something to consider if you're coming from a small company with high premiums. A friend from my previous company is interviewing soon and said the difference in what he's paying now amounts to only $80 less per paycheck at XO overall even though the base salary is $12-13K less.

Can someone explain Atlantic Bucks? I thought this would be a captain only thing.
