I'm neutral but optimistic. Time will tell how they want it to play out. XO is retaining control and leadership and the XO name.

Hopefully we get some cash infusion to make things better.

does the acquisition mean the potential for some overseas trips or wii XO remain primarily domestic?

How will this affect Air Shuttle?

We are being told it will be business as usual, with no changes in the forseable future. Probably will be getting some bigger equipment on the XoJet side. Vista and XoJet will be operated separately under Vista Global umbrella, along with a few other companies.

Default XO Upgrades

Hi folks, could use some help please. I’m getting ready to make the switch from corporate to fractional/135 due to lack of good corporate jobs in my area. I have a bit under 5,000 hrs. and about 2,000 PIC in King Air’s and only 250 SIC jet. Currently flying B200/300’s and CE-650. I’m focused on XO and NJA and trying to understand the upgrade time and rules with XO. My question is in reference to a 1,500 hr. “turbine” requirement to upgrade I read in a thread and I’m wondering if my KA turboprop time would count towards that?? Also looking for some validation on current upgrade times at XO. I get the NJA timeframe from reading 100+ pages on this thread. Awesome all the info from the APC community, thanks for that. Also wondering if GEG would be acceptable for a home base. Thanks in advance, any help is appreciated as I don’t have an XO friend!

If you want to upgrade before you're retirement age, XO is the better option. Most likely you'll get placed on the X. Upgrade is when you meet the mins. Straight forward. No 10 or 12 year wait. Within 18 months to be fair. I know a guy that upgraded in 14 months. It obviously will vary, but it's no where near the time it takes for NJ.

Yes. You meet the upgrade requirements now. They are driven by insurance companies. You have 1500 twin and 1500 turbine. You will just need the time in type which you will get within a year. Right now that's what upgrades are running. We are running a year or less on the X for upgrades currently and 1-1.5 years on the challenger.

For me it was XO all the way. No airport reserve duty, no crew meals, rental car every night. Not as much $, but QOL is higher in my opinion. I come home feeling good, refreshed. Sure there are days that it is a slog, but you'll get that anywhere. (NetJets guys refuse to talk to us and that says a lot.)

I've been extremely happy with XO, and it sounds like we're going to do some growing here shortly...

I wouldn't see why XO wouldn't let you base in GEG. Always something good to ask in an interview though.

Feel free to send me a PM, happy to chat. I'm a PNW'er as well.

Anyone know how to get past the "required salary" box on the application page on the Company website. I've tried it from several different computers and can't finish an application because I can't seem to fill in that box.

Its kind of frustrating.

I've been considering a jump from Part 91 to Xojet simply for the schedule. What is the deciding factor on aircraft assignment and upgrade times?

3400 TT
1800 TPIC
800 CL30 and current
All Part 91
