Wow. So still the majority going to the 750. Are folks moving from the 750 to the CL300 or are those guys just hangin around longer or a little of both?

There are more Citation X's than Challenger 300's in the fleet. Recently a couple more X's were added as well, so with the attrition naturally there is more vacancies in the X.

Once hired into one of the fleets, you don't ever transfer to the other fleet unless you are a check airmen with the company and typed on both airplanes. This is the current policy.

Nobody's moving between fleets. There are more X's than 300's (about 60/40 split), so it's just the math of needing more people in the X all the time. If somebody is on the tall side, they'll try to accomodate that person to the 300.

Are you able to choose? Or are you out where the current need is?

Typically they have a need in one of the fleets and they staff it accordingly. You don't get to choose. As previously said, some really tall folks have been given the 300 simply because they don't fit. There are folks over 6 feet tall in the X though, so I'm not sure how they figure that out.

Are there particular cities, or areas of the country they prefer crews to live?

We literally have guys all over. Pacific Northwest, West, Florida, New York, Colorado, AZ, etc, etc.

You'll see in forums and the like that historically they shied away from certain places, SEA, etc. but as far as I can tell, if you have decent airline service it's good with them now. I think Alaska / Hawaii is still a no, just for the time and expense in commuting to and from.

Does Xojet permit (91/135) flying on your days off? Moreover, working as a contract pilot for another company!
