Apparently my home airport with 30 flights a day was not adequate to hire me yet someone who lived in the middle of the nowhere with only 8 flights a day got hired. They straight out told me I met all their requirements and was competitive however they don’t hire anyone in the area I live due to various airline service issues. To answer your question yes they fly all over the country.
Out of curiosity, would you be willing to share the airport in question?

I would be curious as well as when this was, I know they didn't use to hire people in the SEA area, but do now. When I got hired it was pretty clear I could basically live anywhere that had ~5ish flights a day. This it is evolving.

Any word if/when they'll be raising SIC pay? Would like to give XO a shot but the paycut would hurt. Which leads to my next question- What's the average time to upgrade if you meet the PIC reqs?

Haven’t heard about any SIC pay changes coming. I honestly don’t think there will be any. There are other areas that could be improved upon, and there is no shortage of applications.

Junior captain on the CX is Aug ‘17 hire and junior captain on the CL30 is a May ‘17 hire.

Does XOJet have the dreaded 14 on duty /10 off rest schedules like Flex Jets? In other words do they make you sit at an FBO for 5+ hours before a scheduled flight just because you are on duty? Thanks

No. No FBO airport sits. Unless it’s part of a trip like waiting in a pax. Lots of times we’re checking in to hotels about 12 noon.
