Besides the 17/13 schedule - what's the difference between this position, and the regular C750/CL30 posting? Is it longer flights, or flights across different theaters?

Thanks for the info!

Vista Jet and XOJet are currently separate companies. So as of now, this is the same old Vista job posting, XOJet is just doing the hiring now. Nothing else has changed yet. Time will tell.

is it true that the Vista guys flying on Jet's certificate have to re-apply for their jobs?

Yes, they need to go through the whole interview process (including PRIA). Pretty messed up IMO...

It's very messed up. It's clear they want to get rid of a few bad apples at Vista. I would be curious to see how common this type of practice is. I worked for two Aviation companies that were aquired and didn't have to re-interview.

My guess is that both companies will operate separately until the bad apples are removed and everyone is hired on the XO certificate. Then the two companies will combine and merge lists.

And XOJET has a very painful history with regard to zero warning pilot terminations, lest anyone forgets what happened 2 weeks before Christmas 2008 on "Bloody Saturday", with mass terminations (not furloughs that you don't have to check on an application as a TERMINATION).

I hope that they treat everyone well and that they get it right this time. They should, because Management their has changed and seems pretty good. IMHO.

Not much different from Alaska Airlines who sent 140 furlough letters out on Christmas Eve in 1992.

But beyond that...how many Challenger 350 pilots are they looking for?

I'll bite. Why are you laughing?

There are a lot of 10,000-20,000 hour pilots who hire into ACMI positions with the same schedule.
