Educated guesses on the last 3...all but 1 of the new hires met the new upper pay scale for FOs.

Hope that helps.
Yeah that’s great info thank you

Default Interview

First, the aviationinterviews.com link above is a great resource. I used it myself.

It is important to be familiar with normal IFR regs and procedures. Read all little notes on approach plates. Don’t over think this part.

Last, they are always looking at your personality. The question they want to answer by the end of all this is “Can I spend a week flying with this person?”

Any current/former military folks flying with XOJET? If so, please drop me a PM. I'm curious to hear about your experience at XO compared to active duty.

I'm used to doing everything for myself (flight plans/W&B/etc.) and home basing is quite enticing.

Anyone know how long it takes to hear back from XO if you are put in the pool for an interview? They sent me PRIA paperwork the day I got the email that I had been selected for the interview pool. I sent it back the same day.

For those selected for the phone screen. It’s really laid back. You speak with a line captain. Why XOjet? Talk about your past jobs. Give an example of good customer service. If you had an issue with another captain/FO. What you would do in that situation. Some 135 questions. When do you need to file an alternate 135. How often is a VOR check due. Holding speeds. What you need to see and have to continue an approach. If you just have the rabbit can you descend below DH. Pretty straight forward. I was on the phone for about a half hour.

Default 8/6 schedule?

First of all, thanks to all the pilots posting great information regarding XOJet. Really appreciate it! Reading through everything, it sounds like XOJet may be a good fit for me. I was wondering about the 8/6 schedule. I have been flying Part 121 for the past 15+ years and would be new to this schedule. Would anyone be willing to share what their typical schedule look like? Is day 1 and day 8 usually commute days, with days 2 thru 7 the actual "work" days? Or am I not thinking correctly how it works?
Thanks to anyone willing to respond.

Days 1 and 8 are considered work days. Roughly, I have experienced just commuting about 50% of the time. However, you can go through long stretches where you're also working on all those days.

You are usually replacing another pilot (who is going home) on a given aircraft on your day 1. If there are trip(s) on that tail for that day, one or both of you guys will be also "working" on your first or last day. XOJET is quite good at aircraft and crew utilization.

Also...plan to work if you were to come here. This isn’t your typical corporate flight department job. You’ll fly ~6-700 hrs a year here. Not a whole lot of sitting and enjoying your resort and rum runners. It happens occasionally if you break or every once in a while you might get a day off on rotation but for the most part you’ll be flying. Just a disclaimer, not trying to scare you off but I work harder longer days than I did at the regional I left.
