Anyone here have any contacts within XOJET? I am curious as to their competitive flight times. https://www.airlinepilotcareers.com/xojet indicates that they operate a fleet of Citation Xs, Globals, and Challengers. I would assume that a type rating is preferred? Thanks.

The question becomes do you have contacts within XO? It is a great question because internal recs are helpful from those who know you and have flown/worked with you.
Finding where your ex-crew mates are or flying with now can be started by searching on LinkedIn where many folks list their current employee. Reach out to your fellow pilots and ask all of them, "what do you know about XOJET?
Most likely someone you know that has worked with you knows someone at XOJET. Get your buddy to do the intro and you're off and running. Don't have their current contact info...back to LinkedIn, FB or other sites to connect and ask the question.
This is one of the most overlooked but obvious ways to get to someone on the inside at any aviation outfit. Aviation is a small world. Recall as many names as possible or simply search for XOJET on LinkedIn or other social/business networking sites and see if any familiar names pop up.
We have pilots with all levels of hrs and experience. If you meet the minimums definitely apply as that is the first rule for getting a call for an interview.
Don't doubt your chances based upon hours but reality is that many pilots who are looking these day have more avg hrs than pilots applying 9 months ago but again don't get discouraged. Big but...don't inflate your hours...make sure your logbook matches with the times listed on your resume...rookie mistake but made by veterans all the time who are leaning just a little too far forward.
Broad experience is a plus, experience with high end clients or at least superior examples of client centric work experiences should be highlighted.
Having the type is always better than not having the type but most of our pilots didn't have the type coming in on the X, 300/350 or Global...maybe a little more common on the Global side since it is a smaller fleet. Apply anyway.
If you are low on hours, prioritize potential employers into A, B, C group. Apply immediately to the A group, focus energy there. Do your research and be ready but have the B group apps ready to go
Hope that helps. Good luck.

Chase,
Once again, your guidance and perspective are both thoughtful and appreciated. I am not sure whether or not you receive the thanks that you deserve for keeping the community informed, but please know that many on here feel the same way as I do.
Stay well and fly safe.

Folks on here are generally very gracious and I appreciate your sentiment. Story time:
When I was trying to get hired at SWA the only forums in the late 90’s was Compuserve. SWA, along with all the other carriers had forums but the SWA forum was different, primarily because of poster with the handle, Miss Libby. Her posts were always informative, non judgmental and insightful. As a 20 yr military member who was clueless about 121 ops, she was a bright light of never ending hope. A “hand up” type of person.
After I got hired I was in the People Dept saying hi to some of the folks who I had met in the hiring process. I walked by a door that had the name, Libby Sartain on it. I thought this could be Miss Libby and I wanted to thank her for all the help. I poke my head in and had a nice conversation with her and as I was leaving I saw her name and position on the door..Libby Sartsin, VP People department! Amazing😃
Here was the #2 person in hiring at SWA spending time on a forum with a bunch of yahoo pilots for many hrs each week answering the same “stupid” questions over and over. She always treated each poster with incredible respect...no stupid question attitude replies..never.
She helped countless folks, pilots and flight attendants on other forums too and probably many more. Most VPs or executives of any sort would never entertain the idea to do that today but to be doing that 20 yrs ago is remarkable. That is why SWA was so good to work at was the people like Libby and others who took the extra step in helping others, complete strangers...she saw good in every applicant...good thing she didn’t know me very well!
We’ve all been given a hand up somewhere along our aviation career path.
Any morsel of info from Libby was like water to a drowning man...I try to never forget what that was like as I have moved from mil ops to 121 ops to 135 ops.
A little help from our friends (and strangers on forums) is something we can all practice on here and in our lives.
BTW, A HUGE shout out to those fellow XOers (TurboDog, LJ JE, LearFlyer, MultiPilot and others) on here that gave me such great info on XO and only confirmed it was a place I wanted to land...apologies for the rambling..avoided honey do’s but no more...wife caught me!😩

Planes that are really trashed, carpet stains, stuck gum, seats with ink or their stains normal scrubbing that normal cleaning won’t fix, ops notified and they will assess and support a deep clean by contract vendors. I haven’t had that but I’ve heard of it happening.
Pilots can also send info to company to have airplane deep cleaned at many overnight locations. Done after flying for the day and completed prior to next flight/day.
At TEB and a few other places cleaning occurs on a scheduled basis for planes overnight..not everytime but Ive had it and I’ve seen them swarm over an arriving airplane.
Covid cleaning also occurs..rregular schedule, overlapping process.
Normal cleaning doesn’t take too long by pilots..most people aren’t too messy I find. Many pickup after themselves pretty well.
