That doesn't apply to the people leaving EAS. They are taking just about anything from no job, to training, to 121 to 91 to going back to school. Some jobs pay more, some offer better opportunities, but one thing every new job offers is a better schedule.

Interesting group of guys from BOLDIQ; the group that created ASTRO (Advanced Systems Technology for Real-Time Operations). They are a bunch of guys from DayJet that took their FOS and decided to market it to the rest of the Charter/Fractional operators. A quick glance at their management and creative team shows a wide variety of backgrounds. Including several with educational and or professional backgrounds from Russia, Belarus, and Israel. But nothing in their backgrounds mentioned experience or training in SMS, Aviation Safety, or even extensive flight experience. Only one of the group even had a commercial ticket. Funny someone mentioned the Soviet Space program, one of Engineers from BOLDIQ served in the Soviet Space Command as an engineer and is a graduate of the "A. F. Mozhaisky Military Space Engineering Academy."
Given this pedigree I'm not surprised that their product does not reflect real world conditions. Nor take into account the "pilot" perspective.... Hopefully 'DRVR will keep us updated as this program evolves.

I read somewhere that Redstripe uses Astro. Does anyone have an idea of how the pilots there like it?
So far, I've seen a definite uptick in duty time and legs flown in a day. I'm also not too fond of not being able to see much in advance. It does seem to be having growing pains. Hopefully some of the issues will get worked out.

Got a call from Ben for a position in Dallas (I live in Dallas). That was Thursday last week, I called back but have not got a hold of him.
I don't remember applying, but it was probably at least 1 year ago.
my times:
ATP
TT:3300
SE Turbine PIC: 233 (135 Caravan)
ME Turbine SIC: 1700 (Saab and E170 all 121)
Current 121 FO
If it is for an SIC position, I'm not interested...
But if for a PIC position, I'll explore the options

I can't speak for the rest of this guy's resume. However, I took an SIC spot with > than the required times and I find myself regretting it daily. I should have turned it down and waited. I sound like a bitter old pilot now. (lol) On the flip side, everyone here has been awesome and with the exception of the schedule (and RI's seat lock), I have been treated very well.

but living in base would be amazing, and the ability to break into corporate aviation were the two positive factors.
I've called Ben 3 times trying to return his call and no response in a week...so that would be one hurdle to overcome...

The seat lock was a company policy, not me! This is the second cheap shot at me in the past few days. I understand that some of you are overworked and upset, but why the comments towards me?
I have always been honest and upfront. I always went as far as I could to help pilots with family issues and/or sked issues when I was in the BM or ACP roles.

I'll upgrade in 3 years(ish), but the pay cut is the one of the largest factors...
