The people I know who fly for EAS ARE NOT HOME NOT EVEN ONCE during those 12 days. I understand this is not the case for all bases, but my personal experience with pilots of EAS....12 on means pack your bags and forward your mail. This is not a career job, this is a time building schedule. Which, as a professional pilot myself, and a manager...this is very sad as you will not keep quality pilots, they will become exhausted and look for the first job they find with a better schedule.
12/3?? I'd rather go work for a major airline, work two more days and have two WEEKS off. :-D

Otherwise I've heard EAS is great, nice people, takes good care of employees...just the schedule is not conducive to any sort of a personal life.

Have you guys considered switching to a better schedule? 2w/2w? 10/5, something a bit more enticing for pilots to stick around?

I would like to know who these pilots you know are.
I know every pilots schedule here and no one is out 12 nights.
They are exaggerating their schedule to you. We have some trips that can drag out, but scheduling and management is actively watching and correcting if guys approach 6+ days out.
Some people tend to exaggerate what the Sked isn't and not tell what it is.
Many here would like a 10/5, but I don't hear many who would want a 2w/2w.
EAS is a great company to work for. They have made a LOT of major changes over the last 2-3 yrs that have greatly improved QOL from what it used to be. We will always have a group the just wants to bad mouth us because of bad experiences or they want something out this job that is attainable. We aren't paying 100K+ to fly 10 days a month. Therefore our utilization of crews and plane has led to profitability, growth and hiring.
Again, i would like to address your buddies schedules if they think they are on the road too much.

Was at lunch with my friend (EAS) the other day who worked each of his 12 days. He wasn't overnight every day, some were day trips, but it was 12 straight.

Voluntary? If not, then his duty day count will be restricted on the next rotation in order to keep him to 18-20 days.
He won't work 24 days.

Not voluntary. Not sure what his schedule is like for the next rotation though. Glad they're trying to put restraints on things. I hated getting extended over and over when I was there. Put a strain on the family.

Ran into an MKC crew in DTS this afternoon. Really nice, positive people who shared about life at EAS. Even gave me the 10 cent tour of their 300. Very nice!

I applied to Airshare a few days ago. I have an interference from someone I worked in the past that is currently working for Airshare. He is someone that I very much enjoyed working with and in talking with him he said that he is loving working there. So I am very much hoping to fallow.
I did have a few general questions about working there, just some day to day operations stuff.
I saw that you are very active in posting about the company and always seem positive about working there.
