We get $2/hr as well, and on average I normally end up taking some home, particularly if I get a decent tip here and there.

At my old company, we had someone who would 'steal' half a loaf of bread from the hotel at breakfast, along with PB and J and eat like a 5 year old for the rest of the day. If he really wanted to splash out, he'd get a $5 footling, eat half for lunch and save the rest for dinner. I think I'd rather kill myself.

As long as the trip doesn't 'cost' me money, I'm generally happy.

and you too are only partially correct, any part 135 passenger carrying operation on Instrumetn Flight Rules must have a second pilot-or- an autopilot approved by the administrator to supplement the as the other pilot...anyway...old post I know but....
