random question from the newb

Hi all,
Im currently workin on my flying and trying to decide what route to go. I dont know to much about the fractional side of things. Is it like corporate? If you fly some people to a location do you stay there and hang out as long as those passengers are out or do you return the plane and someone else will pick them up? For example: Say your flying some pax from dfw to lax or maybe some place international, and they will be there for most of the day or maybe even a few days. Do you wait till they are done or will another crew take care of them?
Thanks,
pilot_man

I don't fly fractional, but from what I've seen on the road, it varies. Sometimes they stay to return the pax, sometimes they move on to another trip. I think it just depends on the current dispatching needs at the time. I would guess more often than not, they move on and another crew comes in later for the return, especially if the people are there more than just a day.

Fractional guys don't sit much at all from what I see.

The longest I've waited on pax this year is 6 hours, but unless you have taken them far away from anywhere else, it is rare to sit like that. They usually have another place nearby for you to fly and take different pax from. Some of the long international flights (speculation here since I don't do them) probably sit a lot more to wait since the cost of flying many thousand miles empty to go back and do more and then sending another empty later to pick up is more expensive than letting it sit.
