Default Job Opportunity

If any previously employed AvantAir pilots are looking for a job, shoot me a PM.

Charter company based out of KISP is looking for a PIC for our Piaggio.

Any updates on Avantair? It's been a little under 2 weeks since they grounded the fleet. That's already past what the CEO said the down time was. Does anyone think Avantair will actually resume operations? Or is the FAA shutting them down?

The CEO said a week. I think he said that to give the impression he's got things under control and everything is moving according to plan which was the "voluntarily grounding of the fleet". But he made that decision before the FAA made it for him. if the FAA grounds the fleet, owners loose confidence and the company is done, he knows that

Personally I don't think anybody knows what's going on, not even management

Sometimes people write negative things about a company because they are discruntled ex-employees who have an axe to grind. In the case of Avantair however, the outrageous stories are all true.
Don't be fooled by the glossy brochure. This place has serious safety issues and I wouldn't let their mechanics work on my lawn mower.
The majority of the pilots there are highly skilled professionals with vast experience. The rest of it, well I think Mr Burke said it best.

So whats the latest? Everyone back to work? All the planes back on line? Is there even a remote possibility that the company will change there attitude and do things right?

each and every one...they're 'all' true? You fact checked them did you?

I'm here to tell you as an active pilot that while there may be issues, and I'm not saying there aren't...many of the stories I've read here are complete BS. I've been here for over 6 years and have never been pushed into flying.

I've grounded plenty of planes too. Never an issue. I explained what's wrong and write it up. Mx comes out and they fix the plane or we differ it IAW the MEL.

Point is the stories are not 'all true'. And that's a fact.

No, they're not. Those are the tame stories. Perhaps fearing liability, the moderators already removed a lot of the details of some issues at Avantair...and that was the tame stuff, too.

One who says differently is either a blatant liar, or entirely blind to reality.

The mods or admin have not deleted or edited any posts on this thread. We wouldn't unless there was a TOS violation.
