O.K. Heres what happened. Someone posted examples of recent incidents at Avantair. A die hard Avantair defender came on and dismissed them as B.S. I am here to tell you and your readers that they are not B.S. and are in fact just a few of the crazy happenings at that place.
I have no "passion" for Avantair. Most of the pilots there are highly experienced professional aviators. However, aside from the financial problems the company is facing, they have a serious problem with their maintenance dept and the managemant team does not care about their employees, or their employees careers.

I hope that this is valuable information for anyone thinking applying there, if they are even hiring that is.

All pilots now called back to Avantair. They are up and Operating again. and hopefully stronger and better now. I hope this dark chapter is over here.

Not all... got the call to return and then a few days later got a call saying never mind we'll be in touch when we need you.

I'm sorry to hear that guys. I guess they were just trying to keep their busiest time of the year covered (Thanksgiving) then toss anyone who is no longer needed back out on the street again.

Had a friend watch an Avantair Piaggo come into PBI single engine with CFR in tow on 12/01. Tough times...

I don't think he was 'tossed back'... sounds like he never flew. I got that he was called to return and then told sorry before he got back.

Sucks, but it's not the 'use 'em for peak and crap on them' story you told.

You have to admit though, being told never mind after getting a recall is pretty lame.

So what exactly was the reason the recalls were put on hold?
