Default Avantair Voluntary Shutdown

Shut down for maintenance again. How can a company continue to operate like this? I heard from a Pac member that it might be a week or more. Wouldn't it just be easier for the company to follow the law, instead of trying to cut corners and hide important maintenance record keeping?

Problem. The FSDO is all over the company for too many incidents due to poor maintenance practices.

Solution. Switch FSDO's & business as usual.

Brilliant. High fives everyone! Oh wait........

Again? I recall a complete grounding in Denver last year. I thought it was Piaggio issues- not the company itself. Something about flight controls.

The problem is owners don't care wether is an Piaggo problem or a company problem, they are being inconvenienced... When people pay a ton of one of money for transportation, they will blame the weather on the company

If it was an issue with the Piaggio, they're probably angry because the company chose this airplane and wondering why is taking so long to fix

What a mess for the pilots. Might be time to leave the sinking ship.

Lets just cut through the fluff guys. Last fall was just a "cash infusion" like most companies and now they are out of money. Has nothing to due with Maintenance. That's managements excuse as always. Start looking!

This from the latest 10 Q report:

"For the next twelve months, the Company anticipates significant cash and capital needs to finance its business and cover its ongoing working capital
needs in order to continue operations. The Company is currently in the arrears on various lease and vendor payments. If the Company does not secure these funds, it may be forced to suspend or terminate operations."

Owners know more than you think. Every single time we have covered a charter for Avantair, the owners are complaining about improper management and maintenance.

I hope you're not still doing that. I know people they've owed $$ to for 6+ months for charters. I doubt they're ever getting paid...
