we have a preferential bidding systems that averages everything out to about 15 days a month. You basically get given a list of 5000+ possible schedules and rank them in order of what you want. Sounds like a lot of work but not too bad once you get the hang of it. You can work between 12 and 18 days a month (you can only be forced to work between 14-16, outside of that is voluntary), and from 4-8 days on the road at a time (more than 6 is voluntary only). So lots of variety is possible. Some guys like long trips, some like short. Hopefully everyone gets their top choice but new guys will get the leftovers. Hard to say what those left overs will be.
Not sure about 121 time helping. I'm sure it's a bonus at least.

You'd be on your own to get to ORD, or whatever base. Just gotta make the drive if you want to keep living there. But, at the end of your trip, you have the option to be flown someone else if it is cheaper than flying you to your base. A lot of people are asking for more bases (netjets has over 100 or something I think), but not sure if it is likely or which bases it would be.
QOL is ok. not awesome. Better than FLOPS (no offense), but probably not as good as netjets. Hard to say for anyone who has not worked at both. Improvements are slow to be enacted, but they do make changes. Pay could be better. We definitely have the most flexible schedule options.
EDIT: And let me clarify in case I didn't understand your question. Lets say you are based in ORD. 90% of the time the company will buy you an airline ticket from ORD to wherever the airplane is. So on your first day you drive over to ORD, park your car, get on the airline and go meet your plane. Fly around for a few days, then they buy you an airline ticket back to ORD. On some occasional, based purely on luck, there will be an airplane there in ORD (or MDW, UGN...) and you'll "pick up" the airplane in your base.
And I'm sure a 45 type will help, although then again they are hiring into the 300 so it might not have much of an impact.

I need some advice from someone in the know about the application for FlexJet. As I stated earlier in this thread, I live 3 hours from the Dallas area. From another FlexJet thread I read the following, “gateway rules state that, regardless of where the crewmember lives, it is expected that on the first day of the rotation the crewmember will be in a location which will enable the crewmember to report to their gateway hub airport within 1.5 hours of contact.”
My dilemma comes from the question that is on the application website. It simply states, “Are you able to report to assigned domicile within 1-½ hours of contact?” Because the question on the website is written the way it is, I have marked that answer as NO. I do however have a plan in place that will allow me to meet the 1.5 hour starting the day of my rotation as mentioned above. In fact as a last resort the wife (an A&P mechanic) has floated the idea of getting an airplane so I could make 1.5 hours even from home. As we all know the expense of that idea makes it not really feasible.
My fear right now is that marking that question as NO, I am going to be eliminated by a computer before I even get the chance to explain my plan for making all my flights on time. I guess I am looking for some advice on this matter. Should I keep the answer as NO because I live 3 hours away and risk never getting a call, or change it to YES because I have a plan in place to meet the 1.5 hour on the day my rotation starts? Perhaps a better question might also be how do you interpret the intent of the question on the website?
Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thank you both for your input. I have gone back and changed my answer to YES for the question. I of course hope to get the opportunity to interview. FlexJet is at the top of my list where I would like to start my second career. I have been flying VIP jets for the Army 5 years now and I really enjoy the mission. FlexJet would be a natural progression for me and living in TX, it would work out perfect.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
