Upgrade Times at Flexjet
Didn’t see a thread regarding upgrades and times at Flexjet and thought it could be useful.
A new bid award came out today and after some detective work (our seniority list doesn’t include DOH) it looks like the most junior bid awards are as follows:
Challenger - 11 awards most junior 9/2018 (most senior 10/2006)
Praetor - 6 awards most junior 8/2018 (most senior 11/2006)
Phenom - 13 awards most junior 10/2020 (most senior looks like 11/2019-01/2020)
Please keep in mind that those dates are based on LinkedIn searches and may not be totally accurate, but should provide a ballpark figure for time. So as it stands it looks like upgrade times are currently at 15 months to the Phenom and roughly 41 months to the DRL aircraft. Obviously IRL fleets do not follow seniority so they won’t factor into this.
Hope this info helps if anyone is looking for it.

there was an ILC that had 4 months on property. They knew some people, though (which is what’s it’s all about)

At first, I kinda liked the "idea" of it being merit based, but clearly it's just who you know. I know most new guys are drawn to the idea of ILC because of the equipment, flying and the quick pay raise but after flying with and talking to senior DRL guys, it's evident that the schedule sucks. Only way I see them filling the 100 spots coming up this year is from senior FO's who want to avoid upgrading into the Phenom at all costs.
