Jetlife....don´t speak for others....please.
It simply doesn´t work for you personally. And maybe for a few others that had a different view of NetJets before they came here.
Many of them have found greener grass, good for them, seriously.
It certainly works great for a lot of new guys and all this constant negativity from some of you guys will not change that.
I am on the CC52 schedule and personally "living the dream"......
Actually can´t stop laughing when I have an 8 day tour, day 1 stby at home, day 7 go home a day early and have 16 days off in between the tours.......tell me where else I can get this??
And, if I wanted to make more money, I can sign up for the CC76 LT. It is all in my control how I want to live my life at NetJets.
My average duty time last year was 9.4 hours/day. Average flight time 2.8 hrs/day.....really tough life....not.
So stop generalizing in your posts.
And by the way, please tell us why you left your old company to come to NetJets. And if your life at NetJets, for which you knowingly signed the new hire contract back in 2015, is so miserable, why are you not going back to your old company?
Or another outfit?
I just don´t get it.......
I can only guess why you are not working for a major or an exclusive corporate gig....maybe I am wrong

I came to NetJets because the forums, pilots I talked to in person, and the setiment when I (and the rest of my interview group for that matter) was that it was a great time to possibly get on. Post furlough, new contact will be amazing etc etc etc. It was a high risk move that I would have hoped to pay off. All you have to do is ask 10 new hires and 8 of them won't have very favorable things to say. Are you ignoring the feelings the majority of new hires have? It's easy to say majority, that's not a sweeping statement. Some of us took pay cuts to come here, some left really crappy jobs, some were unemployed. Most are now under the assumption that they will probably leave. Captains are leaving to be FOs.
The contract fell short for most, but 3 out of 4 pilots chose to end the turmoil rather than actually get a half way decent contract. And we are seeing the real life effects of this contract playing out now, and there's nothing we can do about it because the ink is dry. Management is ****ed at the pilot group, pilot moral is low, abuse on the road is high, work rules are non existent. It's ok though, only 8 more years right?
Glad you are living the dream. Enjoy it. Others don't get the cream work week you do. The simple fact that it varies on such a large spectrum is because of a lack of contract language.
Of course NetJets works. It works for everyone. You're home based and you get free healthcare. For those that can settle with the staggeringly large pay and retirement difference by staying at NetJets for a career versus an airline, having seniority so basically nothing for you until you reach the 15 year mark, having little QOL on the road, and resign to the fact that things move so slow here that if they were to furlough 200 pilots today that would put 2007 hires on the street. I'm not making generalizations, I just happen to be a new hire who keeps in touch with new hires.
If you choose to ignore the reality and make your own, then of course you wouldn't understand what I'm saying.

I have a class date next month with a major. I'm gone. A dozen others have interviews and will be gone. One guy in my NJA new hire class just left. None of us are coming back. So your hopeful assumptions are dead wrong, much like your ability to empathize with anyone else's situation.

That's awesome that it is working for you. I mean that. But just to answer your question, even a junior line holder where I'm at holds as many days off as the CC52. With the ability to trade trips with the Company and other pilots, drop and pick up trips often at time and a half the flexibility is endless.

My buddy flies for SWA out of PHX and his QOL is absolutely mindblowing....plus the pay......no doubt.
I am realistic enough to see that there are excellent opportunities out there. And I myself sometimes question my decision to stay here when I see the $$ at other places.
But my point is, that "the place where I am and the place where you are" offer excellent QOL. Find that in any "average company".
It is all perspective
