Typical NJA management, they play hard-ball during contract negotiations and cry poor but once the dust settles on the contract and they realize that they committed to things that cause them pain. They go crawling back to the pilot union and ask to "discuss" these issues that they want relief from. It is referred to as interest based bargaining, we did it back in 2007 with some success. That was a completely different time and management team though and they had a nasty poison pill they needed relief from, BUT it was their own doing. The union just announced last night that they are going to begin speaking with the company, but they have not released what sections they are focusing on yet. If it even gets to the point of going to the pilot group for ratification, it will not be anything major based on what the union has already stated. I certainly would not change your decision to go elsewhere on what may happen in this IBB negotiation and I am definitely going to continue working just as hard to leave this place as soon as I can.

It has already been stated that basing, base pay, and retirement contributions WILL NOT be discussed. It sounds like the focus will be on scheduling efficiencies more than anything.

If you agree to work a 15 hour duty day, you get another crew meal!

More like if you allow us to schedule 9 day tours with 8 day tours being the shortest allowed, we will give you a cc74 schedule for the same pay as the cc76!

I know it has been a few weeks since your interview and we wanted to reach out to make certain that you know we continue to be very interested in you. We are very well aware that everyone is looking for great pilots and some companies are hiring at a frenzied pace. Our aim is to be competitive but thoughtful about aligning our hiring to business. We anticipate being able to share more specific dates with you for the next class very soon. We don’t yet know which aircraft but I would like to take this opportunity to have you complete the attached FIT Measurement Chart. This will allow us to determine for which aircraft you are a fit. Please return to me at your convenience. Please note that it can be signed off by any medical professional (Doctor, PA, NA, Minute Clinic, etc.)

Determining if you are a fit for the Phenom. You must be able to wear skinny jeans to fit in that thing........

Ask NetJets to send you the 8 pages of the Essential Job Functions. It is an interesting read.

Ask what the upgrade time is. I'm curious how they're spinning that one these days.

I Left Netjets for a legacy airline a year ago after being there close to 10 years (including furlough). The pros are paid healthcare and living where you want. The cons are just about everything else. If you have an opportunity to work anywhere else with decent qol and pay, you are probably better to take that route. If you have any desire to work at a major airline, you are doing yourself a favor to find employment elsewhere.

Good luck!
