The cons are just about everything else. If you have an opportunity to work anywhere else with decent qol and pay, you are probably better to take that route. If you have any desire to work at a major airline, you are doing yourself a favor to find employment elsewhere.

The article you posted is with regard to the 2015 CBA. It’s biased as it doesn’t quantify what type of pilot gets the 30% raise over 5 years.
