No , it was the right decision at the time , 17 days away was a huge chunk of time , 2 weeks off straight was lovely, but couldn't erase the strain of the 17 days , my daughter would cry when I left on tour , if they ever went 12 on 12 off we could talk , 10/10 would be ideal , but our family life has improved immeasurably since my return , and now we are 4 ,with my sons arrival : ) I loved the flying ,people , mission, and the jet at Connie ,i wish it fit my familia better .

GeeWizDriver have you got heartburn over other pilots being informed as to what is going on with the hiring process ?
I think it is only fitting that the line guys and new pilots looking at putting a application and going through two days of interviewing not including to and from Columbus consider and look at the facts.

There is a lot of industrial weight put on the salary we make in our year before retirement and what fleet we end up in.
A lot of pilots ignore the turd sandwich we eat in the years up to retirement and the effect it has on our QOL, health and family.
It is my opinion if more pilots elevated the importance of their time out of the cockpit we would all be better off.

He isn't telling you to unsubscribe from this forum, he is telling you to not waste your time listening to the utter bull**** that NetJets is telling you guys in the pool and move on with your career at a much better company. If you can't tell by now, most of us NJA guys are frustrated and ****ed off at our decision to hook our wagon to NJA, don't make the same mistake!!

Netjets is definitely the only place I've ever worked where I had a captain bring a dedicated gaming computer with him so he could play World of Tanks for 12 hours a day, then call in fatigued so he could play more.

I'm trying to PROVIDE information to potential new-hires:
RUN. The other direction.
Once upon a time, NetJets was a decent place to work. For any pilot under the age of 45 or even 50 trying to grow their career and with no show-stoppers in their background, there are literally a dozen better career opportunities out there.
Besides, we have already established that the company is telling BALD FACED LIES to applicants regarding upgrade times. Why do you want "information" like that?
I was speaking with tongue in cheek regarding the unsubscribe comment (unsubscribe from NETJETS). What I really meant was DON'T COME TO WORK FOR NETJETS when you can do so much better.
