I'm a CSR at 'your' friendly neighborhood FBO. I've had the great opportunity to talk to pilots ranging from 61 independent CFIs (like I am, too) to retired 747 captains and everything in between. NJA folks seem to be the happiest with their jobs, their lifestyle and their equipment. They mention furloughs of course, but many have been around there in their 121 careers. Most seem quite happy with their jobs. More so than this forum with elude to. And as a CSR, they are some of the most pleasant crews to work with. I look forward to seeing them over other big-name fractionals.
Also, are many of the FO's captain qualified wearing 4 bars? I notice most crews are 2 "captains" but one clearly is the FO.

Thanks for the kind words. I try and be as friendly as I can to everybody at the FBOs; after all, you provide a vital part of our product!

As has been pointed out many times before, an awful lot of 121 drivers are just there for the pay, vacation, benefits and life-time non-rev priveleges....otherwise, they'd quit!

In addition: Not filling up the ice bucket, pulling out the internally serviced-**** filled lavatory bucket. Coffee/Paper’s/Ice, Vacuuming the crumbs, pushing bags up into the hole, trying not to slip on the ice. Pointing out the exits like a flight attendant. Returning SICs(for life) at NJ.
Or else they’d quit!

This thread is supposed to be about NJs, not a p1$$ing contest between 121 and fractionals. We can all agree that different people prefer (or settle for) different types of flying. To bring the thread back on track, they are supposed to announce the recall numbers next week after a meeting with the union. According to indications from management, it is not going to be a huge number.

Happens all the time.
I just talked to a guy in Co. recurrent at NetJets, he says no one from management is saying anything about numbers one way or the other. "To be announced", so it's anyone's guess.
NetJets may not even know the number yet.

I'm gonna guess 1 class with about 20-25 guys (just a wild guess).....Just enough to cover attrition for this past year (which was around 30 leaving)...

The big question how many will return? It will be interesting to see. I'm sure the company will say they don't want to recall too many and see how it goes. If they get one out of three, I think the company will still say they don't want to recall that many and exhaust the list.
For those coming back, welcome back and get ready for long days, short overnights, and crappy food. It sure isn't the same as it used to be.
