The company has made zero, I mean literally zero claims to future growth at all. I am all for the idea of reducing the amount of different fleets, I get all that, but they are dropping 20 airframes from the total fleet list, period. They are not hiring because they want attrition to cover the issue of having excess pilots. When I was hired I was a 2800 seniority number, when I left I was a 2500 number with about 90 behind me. The company is shrinking. There is no emotional influence in that statement at all, its fact. What the future holds is anyones guess but there has to be demand for it. If NetJets had 200 people with money in their hands wanting aircraft, NetJets would do it. Simply holding off and waiting for the competition to die is also a death sentence.

Yes we are all entitled to our opinion. Not to denigrate the hard working and well intentioned foot soldiers at all. But at a higher level you just don't have the time on property (not your fault that you were furloughed) to know the history, personalities and behind the scenes machinations.
Over the last year watching a truly professional union operate has been a thing of beauty.

The quote above sums up what is wrong with the Union. If you were hired after the furlough then you are considered by many as a second class citizen. Seven out of ten PICs I've talked to have been great. The others can make you feel like you don't belong in their club. The new contract reinforces this. NetJets is and will always be a PIC company.
Still, in my opinion it is a great place to work. The flying is fun and challenging. Pay, benefits and schedules cannot be beat in this part of the industry. NetJets is a better job, (by far) from the corporate department I came from. It is a great place to be while looking for the Legacy opportunity.

Now let me set you straight. The ONLY THING that matters is getting paid. We don't get profit sharing and unless you are a Berkshire stock holder those profits are ancillary. But hey, let's keep the FO's on slave wages (for the industry) so we can finance a fleet reorganization bc of garbage management.
Anyone hired 2015 and later should be evaluated for early onset dementia if they plan on staying and making 50 cents on the dollar for the HOPE that in 2020 or 2023 the company will decide to grow or pay SICs what they are worth.

NJA is actively replacing the fleet and modernizing its product offerings. 2017 will be a huge year for this as 19 aircraft types are rationalized into 7. This fleet simplification will strengthen an already impressive financial performance.
This process will continue through 2020 mostly with remaining misc aircraft types leaving around the 2023 time frame.
Staffing requirements will likely be flat until the decision is made to add new frames as the company turns the corner in this massive update effort.
It's a tremendous process to watch for those that appreciate the effort.

There is no IBB. The union already squashed the rumors. The financial performance of the company was pretty good, not great. Nobody in management is touting an amazing year financially. The only real financial gain is that the loan to BK is paid back which is awesome, but giving a pay raise on 175 million in profit would put the company right back in the red.

I'll requote you to update. A Buddy just told me that the top brass said that there is nothing changing for FOs and to either find happiness or leave.
There are people who choose hope over facts at NetJets, I would recommmend choosing facts and don't make a decision on what you hope they do.

Honestly from a psychological standpoint I've never seen anything like it. I've never seen somebody blindly ignore all facts and reality, and just create their own. Actually it's a bit disturbing.
