Similar experience with me. The CP solicited me to apply and told me I should come down for a quick interview to get to know each other, but the Director of Security ended up grilling me for 2 hours. By the end of that experience I had almost no interest in accepting the job. Then I remembered he was a former FBI agent and was probably putting on a hard ball act to see how people respond. That is not my style, but I understand his technique. If I hadn't already known other people in the company, I probably would have declined. I think he is great at his actual job, but a little out of touch with current interview procedures.
EXACTLY!!! But, in this day and age can you really afford to be chasing potential pilots away?,

RetiredMD88-DPJ is a bottom feeder 135. They are the Trans States of the 135 world. The planes they manage are old and tired. If you look out on the ramp of any busy FBO, the DPJ planes are easily recognizable as they are filthy. 40K a year to fly millionaires around and 60k as a captain is pretty sad. DPJ has hired retired DL guys in the past. They didn't work out. They never duty you off, leaving your phone on all night, calling during your rest and forced to fly broken planes because the owner won't fix them gets old after a while. There are much better companies out there. Don't do it!

WOW! That doesn't surprise me...The CP indicated that they were working on j/s agreements with other 121 companies but, I was very doubtful about that.

Jumpseat with 121 airlines? I don't think so. How would a non-Sked 135 reciprocate a jumpseat agreement. Without going into details, they cannot. DPJ isn't even in KCM let alone CASS. CASS costs money. DPJ cannot even pay their poor guys industry standard, or offer vacation, or offer sick time.

I don't know how, but some 135 operators are in CASS and can jumpseat.

The 135's that are in CASS are companies like Cape Air for example. They are a 'scheduled' 135. DPJ is not scheduled. Big difference. Only DPJ employees can be on 91 repo legs. Once you put someone on it is now a 135 leg on a plane not owned by DPJ.

STAY AWAY FROM DPJ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Learn to mow grass or clean port-a-potties you will be happier and have greater self respect. The day I left was one of my best days in aviation.

Another point to made is that DPJ is not a fractional. They do not own a single aircraft. They do not operate under 91K. A new forum needs to be created called 'Bottom Feeder 135's' because that is where this thread needs to be.

So the flow through part has been debunked as I understand its more a guaranteed interview after a certain amount of time ala endeavor. But do you get to keep your seniority number and transfer it to mainline? That'd be pretty nice to start at dpj and eventually come to delta on 3rd or 4th year pay, immediate upgrade, nice choice of bases and equipment etc..
