I spoke to somebody who flies for Delta Private Jets and he is telling me that you're given a Delta seniority number and you can flow through to Delta Airlines in two years. All the posts I've read don't mention any type of flowthrough, in fact, nearly everything I've read about this place seems very negative.
Is the reason the turnover so high over there because the pilots are flowing over to Delta mainline?

Same guy said the schedule is 6 days on/ 6 off, home based with positive space tickets on Delta Airlines to wherever your trip starts, and must sign a training agreement.

Putting up with 2 years of crap at this place seems very doable if you're guaranteed a pilot job at Delta Airlines.

Tell him to prove it.

I used to communicate with a gentleman who I think owas chief at delta private jets years ago...he ALWAYS emphasized to stay the hell away from there and consider leaving aviation all together. Lol...it was some food for though for sure!

Here is some information from a former regional pilot and current DPJ pilot.

The company is owed by Delta Global Services, not Delta Airlines. There is no connection between the two pilot groups. DPJ was originally created by Comair and has gone through several rebrandings and a painful merger with another charter company. Many of the negative stories come from the time of the merger and the previous management team which tried to run a medium size charter company as a small "mom & pop" place. The new management team is focused on investing in the company and growing in size.

The pay is typical for entry-level 135 jobs (low) and there is a 2-year training contract, but the positives are Delta flight benefits, quick upgrades due to growth, home basing, and a 8 on/6 off schedule. There is no flow program with Delta, it is an interview program. After 2 years you get to interview with Delta, but nothing else. They just started the program a few months ago, but I know of at least one pilot who is going to DAL. It will be difficult to judge the success of the program because most of eligible pilot group is older, do not want to go to the airlines, or have already retired from other jobs and are doing this for “fun.”

Many have heard some horror stories from this place, but most are secondhand or from the previous management team. I have heard much worse and recent stories from the regionals than I have from DPJ. That does not mean everything is perfect, but from my experience, it is a step up from the regional world and I enjoy the way I am treated.

Getting to interview with Delta after two years is a big deal. Ive been trying to get Delta's attention for the last decade

Don't get too excited. Many regionals have had similar deals before and they turned out to not be worth much. I think the 9e deal only has a 10% hire rate. Also, just like others have experienced, they could end the deal right before you get a chance to interview. The main thing is don't come here because of the Delta interview.

I'm currently an FO in the CRJ200 for a Delta Connection Carrier.
I have an ATP CL65 type rating,2400 TT, 960 Turbine, 478 TPIC, 205 Turbofan

Am I eligible to be interviewed and/or hired. I saw on the website they want a type rating in an aircraft they operate. I know my type is not converted over to the challenger even though the CRJ is just a stretched challenger.

Any suggestions on what to do. I want to go corporate but don't want to give up my delta flight privaleges or move from Atlanta so DPJ is just what I'm looking for but don't have a corporate aircraft type rating

Although they say they want a type, they don't require it (I didn't have a type on any of their planes). The old management team did require it, but the new team will type you if they hire you. That being said, if you do have a type on the plane they hire you for, your training contract will be much less.

Since it is not owned by DAL is there any preference for Delta Connection Carrier pilots like there is with DAL?
