It has been 8+ years but I was interviewed and hired with zero turbine PIC. I know of somebody that will be interviewing that is in the same boat.

I don't believe lack of turbine PIC will be a problem.

I'm being interviewed and I have both turbine pic and sic time. I don't think it matters though since the minimum requirements are 2500 total time and 500 multi time. Nothing said about turbine pic or sic.

What all can you expect for week one of INDOC? What material is covered? What's tested on? How many days off do you get after it's over? Any other info?

Mostly FOM information, company specific stuff. I would not put much thought into the indoc things they will teach you what you are expected to know. If you are itching to do something get the limitations, memory items and profiles for the aircraft you are assigned and start memorizing. I'd plan on one month straight (varies by aircraft), indoc straight to aircraft initial, after that you will get 7 off and then wait for IOE. That is the most economical for them but it can change.

This is a great thread, thanks for all who have added to it. I have a few thoughts after reading through it and other info I happen to know:

- LORs are not required
- Competitive mins are 2500/500, turbine PIC is not required.
- If you meet the mins and have an LOR you should get a phone interview within a week or so.
- If you are not selected re-apply in 6 months, they are being way too picky. This was something they were afforded last time they hired and will not be very soon. Last time around they had 10,000 qualified apps on file, now they say they have 1,000 apps.
- Upgrades are going to be a while, switching airplanes as an FO will be a while most likely longer then the 39 month seat lock, be comfortable being Phenomenal or Excellent.
- Contract negotiations don't seem to be going very well.
- If you are over 6' tall you may have issues fitting into the Phenom, they have specific measurements available but no idea how this affects how a new hire is chosen.

Best of luck to everyone.

You mean you don't get to come back home for a few days after one week of Indoc? Also, we don't know what aircraft we are assigned yet so can't study that stuff yet either

Your time off after indoc will depend on how backed up the sim is. You should know your schedule when you show up on day one. There are contractual requirements for days off after completion of sim training.

As for what to study before indoc I would say nothing. Just show up with a willingness to work and learn. They will teach you what you need to know. Do yourself a favor, don't be the guy/gal that starts every statement with, "This one time when I was flying xyz at abc airline/company..." Your past experiences are valuable and will help you and your fellow crew members out at some point. You don't have to prove you have what it takes, you have already been hired.

Best of luck to all whatever stage of the process you are at.
