I’m exactly where my seniority should place me and I’ll be in the same seat for about another 5 years, maybe more. I’m in a fleet that doesn’t get abused nearly as badly as others (despite this week, which is turning into a double F-bomb extravaganza that proves the idiocy of our scheduling department). I’m “grinding this axe” on behalf of all the other poor schmucks in the company that get abused EVERY TOUR and offering a more realistic view of current life at NJ than your rose colored hallucinations. I don’t want a job seeker to be blind-sided when they show up in Bridgeway expecting your milk and cookies and getting handed the sht sandwich instead.

The simple fact is, like another just said, if you want an airline gig, go to a regional. If you want a fractional gig, NJ is better than the others. But it just ain’t that great.

By the way FL, I’ll always be senior to you. By a LOT.

What was your hire date here?

So far as the rest of your typed contributions...

Plenty are just fine here without you “saving them”. Lol. How noble.

Many pilots are coming here because they actually want to be here.

My source? Them.

Now what? How do you save those who don’t even know they need saved and are, in fact, here by choice.

That’s quite a soldier without a country type of scenario.

Maybe you’re just really thinking that everyone MUST see things your way in life. Now THAT is truly sad... but very intriguing.

It’s a big world out there and not everyone sees things the same across the board.

Well this is obviously a lie.
NetJets is currently net -2 for the year. More people are leaving than being hired.

The amount of people that actually know NJA AND WANT to come there is maybe 1 out 10. The majority go because they were the first to call. I would love to see the stats on those hired after 2015. I bet 50% of every class is gone. Ours is 60% gone with more on the way out of the door.

Why is it a lie?

Pilots have come here because they’ve decided to.

Nobody forced them. I’ve heard many stories from our new hires.

The pilots leaving are another story and we wish them well in their search for whatever it is they are after.

I said it is a lie because you said that "many" pilots are coming to NJA and compared to any airline of comparable size, that is a false statement.

If you want to be pedantic and say that "many" is not a false statement because "any number higher than 1 could be many", you just show your intellectual dishonesty on these boards again.

So now it’s word semantics.

Ok... here’s one.

A passenger train, traveling 60 miles per hour, leaves Fairfax station at 2:00 PM and heads for Springbrook, 200 miles away. At the same time, a freight train, traveling 80 miles per hour, leaves Springbrook heading for Fairfax.

What train arrives first?

Bald Eagle.

And a few words that the edit didn’t allow for in time...

My statements aren’t “lies” because you disagree with them. You simply disagree with them.

Many pilots are coming to NetJets. Nobody compares the actual number of pilots hiring on with 121 but you for some bizarre reason.

Many of the pilots who are coming to NetJets have personally identified that choice as their first for many reasons. Good for them! We should (and are) all be happy to have them.

Additionally, the fleet will be increasing by 20-30 growth jets or so this year amid a much larger number of deliveries and retirements. What other fractional is adding 30 jets this year? 30 NET jets to NetJets.

Applicants and smart and they know if they want to come to NetJets instead of 121 already.

History has shown that the most negative outwardly towards NetJets are pilots like little JetLife who DIDN’T know what he wanted. He made a choice and wasn’t happy and now it’s NetJets fault for his decisions as a man.

Instead of chalking up the experience to lesson learned for him (as compared to his goals and desires), he and a couple others have taken it upon themselves to “save” the world from NetJets.

NetJets doesn’t follow the ebb and flow that 121 does. Never has. Never will.

The seniority gains that a pilot stands to make are coming in the future as the seniority list compresses and thins due to the age of our pilots senior to year 15 and age 70 retirement. The seniority list fans won’t come fast enough for someone comparing heir progression to 121. That’s a fact. And it is what it is.

No lies. No exaggerations.

Just truth and the way it is in aviation.

The thing is no place in this aviation world is Nirvana , ( 121 long haul comes pretty close : )) , Netjets fits the bill for some of us at the present time , it’s not a good fit for many , EVERYBODY is hiring so there is no need to be miserable anywhere . I loved 121 , but at the present time this situation works best for my family , the hatred , vitriol, and mockery spewed on these boards is quite frankly amusing , it’s over the top . I wish everyone well who has passed through this company to different destinations, God bless , and cheers , for those who are staying , well I’m sure you will agree many improvements are necessary, for those who hope to move on Godspeed. Now let me jump to The NY Times sports section and read how the Mets are breaking my heart again : )
