Default leave options/flexjet for JetBlue/Spirit?

Middle of the line Captain but tired of the bs and lies spouted by KR and his minions. Huge pay cut first year tho. Opinions?

I have a few friends who have left Netjets for both JB and Spirit. Both are happier having to just turn left when entering the airplane. Certainly would be helpful to live near a base and avoid commuting for QOL if possible.

Not surprisingly, starting pay is lowish at both Spirit and JB - but both are in the midst of negotiating new contracts (who knows how long and contentious it will become?). It worked out well for Allegiant pilots!

Have you also considered/applied to SWA? Several Netjetters have been hired by SWA recently and it appears they like fractional pilots.

Good luck!

I've heard the same - anyone on here make the jump? Any regrets?

Best thing that ended up happening was getting furloughed from NJA, and making the decision not to accept recall.

Having a little seniority behind you at a 121 (respectable) carrier tops fractionals IMO.. schedule, $$, qol..

Unless you plan on doing a transcon commute... commuting sucks the life out of a 121 gig

I had 15 years at Netjets, when I left for a major airline. No regrets but it is a different life. Delta, United and recently Southwest have been hiring many from the 91K crowd.

I left NJA for a major and I thank my lucky stars every single day that I left.

Ditto... I punched from the left seat of a gulfstream after 12.5 years at NetJets to fly boxes.... some thought I was insane, but I’ve never been happier in my life.

What can Brown do for you?

After 10 years at NJ (really 5...) I left for the airlines. No regrets whatsoever. I feel very blessed to be where I am today! The furlough opened new doors for me and my career and I'm so thankful for that!
