Default Jumpseat available on Netjets?

Hello all,

Wondering if Netjets allows airline pilots to grab a ride on empty legs.

Grasping for straws for my crappy commute.

TIA

Unfortunately no. Our own employees can't even ride on empty legs anymore.

Please tell the story that lead to that when you have a chance. I'm having a vision of a group of your hottest GV & BBJ flight attendants heading to a tropical holiday on their days off. Perhaps a bachelorette getaway. Once at cruise there's a tap on your shoulder and you turn around to see .....

Snap! I'm out of my Walter Mitty moment. But do tell!

The truth is way more boring than that. The claim by the company is that it is an IRS issue. Rides on business jets by employees for personal reasons is a form of compensation and thus subject to taxation. Imagine the income taxes on the above mentioned gulfstream flight?

Considering the NetJets F/As I've seen, this is more nightmare than fantasy.
