Please share details on why Frontier pilots are "no United/Delta/AA/SWA". How is what we do different?

Anyone think the no update on the last negotiations session is a little suspicious? I figured if it was unproductive they would blast it out to us while the strike vote is open. Must've been a little productive and they don't want to sway guys on the fence. Not that I've met a single pilot that wasn't voting for the strike, just thought it was weird.

I would actually be more upset to see a little progress than the company just completely stonewalling. Why?

1. We will not see a new contract until released to a cooling off period.

2. Release becomes less likely as long as progress is made at the table.

The company knows this and I believe will give us little things every once in a while to help drag this out longer. If progress was made this past week, expect more mediation sessions in October, January, and beyond. If we're lucky they may schedule in November and December but with holidays it's less likely.

Exactly. We may not be as big but we make more money percentage wise. We deserve the same pay.

I agree with everything you said no progress is good for us, but not keeping us informed is not very transparent. If they think keeping us in the dark will help us get closer to 100/100 then it's fine with me, but It's just off.

Not to mention the fact that we are responsible for a higher number of people on the same aircraft as other carriers.

That's interesting to think about...God forbid there's a "claim" does the company say to the family members, " I'm sorry for your loss but since we are a ULCC, we cannot pay you what you think your loved one was worth." If you wanted a bigger payoff in case something tragic happened, you should've flown on DAL, AA, SWA, UAL.

And you all were ready to start throwing conspiracies because you hadn't gotten your negotiators newsletter yet. Would you all just be patient!

Ok seriously?!!! He understands that at Frontier the applicant pool and competive mins are worlds apart as compared to UA,DL and AA. He makes a point everyone in the industry knows. A lot of guys/gals have gone to Frontier because they know they are not competitive at the majors. Thats not to say that all at Frontier are not competitive but what is competitive to get hired is the difference.

If Frontier pilots ask for the same pay, they would have the same people applying that the legacies are getting. People go where the money is. Period. The only reason the mins and pool are "worlds apart" is because the pay is "worlds apart" at the moment.
