Spirit pilots already giving up a lot. There's a point where you say, "Enough is enough." Their last minute, "...oh by the way, we want PBS too" was the last straw. I believe the NC referred to this as Spirit management overplaying their hand.

With Simms and our other mediator we were also told applying for release would get shot down and was useless. Not really thinking things will be any different for you guys. Hopefully you guys can actually come to a deal unlike us.

Apparently the company settled somewhere around 100 open grievances out of the blue, took the union folks by surprise. Anyone have any idea why the sudden change of "heart"?
