Base Seniority

Hi guys. Was wondering if someone could post the current base seniority hire dates for first officers and captains? Also, how long are new guys sitting reserve in each of the bases? Thanks!

Check out the “Future of Frontier” thread that began on 02/10/2018. It has some detailed numbers outlining relative seniority at the F9 domiciles. The next big shift will occur on May 1 when a 20-ish folks move to LAS.

In general, LAS is growing at the expense of Denver. The other bases are shuffling around as folks get displaced from Denver and then bump folks from other domiciles who then bump folks from other domiciles, etc. etc.

It’d be nifty if the Company would give us an idea of what we might expect in the future, but I guess the element of surprise is part of their competitive model... and even if it weren’t, Frontier management has shown at every opportunity that they’re not concerned with how their decisions impact the lives of their employees.

Remember when we found out about the LAS domicile because a LAS newspaper or magazine leaked it? That’s pretty much how things go around here.

Based on the April bid packets and the 3/1 seniority list here is what I found:

DEN - FO - 1/18 - CAP - 9/07
LAS - FO - 12/17 - CAP - 6/14
CHI - FO - 9/17 - CAP - 11/14
MCO - FO - 11/17 - CAP - 11/14

Every FO in the 2/18 class is LAS

I don't have time to look up the bid awards right now.

Thanks MTM.. Any idea what the current attrition rate is? I’m in the April 2nd class and word is everyone will be going to LAS because of the DEN drawdown. With the 4-month training footprint I was thinking I could possibly be DEN based before IOE, based on attrition of course..

Attrition is very low. You won’t see much movement from LAS except for the reshuffling that comes with each upgrade bid or the eventual uptick in hours at all bases due to more airplanes showing up. And the latter isn’t supposed to materialize until 2019.

Was just wondering if someone could post the jr lineholders DOH for each base?

CantStayAway 03-14-2018 04:33 PM

For MCO for lines next month, the junior line went to a November 2016 hire. The junior relief line (in the initial awards as they bid for those later and reserve is still a possibility) went to a December 2016 hire.

Not sure about other bases.

Denver junior line holder for April was 2/17 hire.

Attrition is 6-8/month. I wouldn't expect to get out of Vegas before IOE for sure. They just involuntarily displaced a group to LAS the last 2 months and added another 16 spots in LAS for the month of July. So you are guaranteed not to hold DEN for 3-4 months. I know for fact 10 months seniority could not bid into DEN last bid. The junior guys that are there lucked out and held it before the shrinking occured. I wouldn't plan on Denver anytime soon as the last two VSA's shrunk the Denver pilot group!

It could all change tomorrow. Especially if we open another base as planned. After Vegas for a few months, how do you like the Northeast? I wouldn't come here expecting to hold a domicile within any timeframe. There is too much changing and we are in a fragile state with being able to hire the QUALITY pilots we need. VJA's are already starting and it's not even summer yet. If you come here, just come with eyes wide open, no expectations, and plan of going to LAS or wherever they decide to open a new base.

This is spot on. BUT.... Since they are growing LAS...if you look at the Bid awards for May there are displacements.

MCO - FO will fall to 08/2017 hire
ORD - FO will fall to 08/2017 hire
and DEN - FO will fall to 11/2017 hire

LAS will continue to be the new hire class and kill growth in other bases. With attrition of 6-8/month. That only 1-2 per base.
