Frontier attempted to sell used 319s

Our 319s may dissapear sooner than scheduled. It appears they’ve been trying to sell them off. A deal with American fell through only a couple months back. That surely would have made us negative in airframe count for 2018. Just another example of the company saying one thing and doing the opposite behind our backs. Potential new hires beware.

Hasn’t the plan always been to get rid of all the 319’s and non-sharklet 320’s? And the article says nothing about what the actual number of airframes or scheduled delivery might have been.

You’re right, do NOT trust this management team. But I think you’re reading too much between the lines here. Maybe.

Yeah I think that’s old news, I heard recently we were planning to hold onto more 319s longer than expected presumably because the deal fell through. As expected though never believe what they tell you about fleet growth because they’ll sell off all of their growth if it means they can make an extra penny in the short term.

Yes, but not all in one swoop. That would effect our total lines and pilot group growth in the short run. We have approximately 15 A319s left, I can only assume any deal would have been for the majority or all of the remaining at this company.

I find it unlikely we own 15 319s, but IDK.

PulledBreaker 05-03-2018 10:09 AM

We have 17 319s currently. 4 are owned by the airline, the rest are leased. 9 of those leases are scheduled to be returned this year.

I'm sure Indigo was looking to make a buck off selling the remaining leaseholds vs giving them back.

Aero1900 05-03-2018 04:19 PM

All the leased 319s were and have been scheduled to leave by the end of the year. This has been in the fleet plan for years.

I've analyzed the fleet plan in depth. The only question really is what happens with the few 319s that we own. All leased planes are going away

I'm sure they would love to dump them asap... if they have any equity.

Equity = mgmt bonus!

I wish they’d sell 948. What a glitchy piece of dung.
