What a sad day!! I really hoped to be surprised by this pilot group during the voting process. We have now agreed to a contract that is subpar in many areas in comparison to Spirit’s agreement from a year ago. We were 100% ready to strike for what? An agreement that is below our initial ask from over 2 years ago and our ability to save current book in regards to premium over 82. That was put in place to encourage coverage of open flying and as a benefit to the company and pilot. This pilot group lacks spine to get what was expected by most.
I hope I am wrong as well going forward, but still see many areas this management group and PR.s scheduling department will exploit and take advantage in this agreement.
I will except what the majority has agreed to, but i know for damn sure I will be able to sleep at night knowing I voted NO to this TA.
Indigo won this battle in many ways including infighting within the pilot group, as well as jeopardized friendships. Good luck and congratulations on our bottom tier pay raise, lowest of the average per diem and the associated signing bonus attached.
Disappointed to say the least!!
