Tip your FA? Really?!
So since when is this ?
Encouraged to tip your FA on Frontier.

This is so intensely sad.....
And I thought having to push credit cards on Delta and AA was bad.

Asked if gratuities were meant as extra earnings for flight attendants or “considered a consequential part of their earnings,” Frontier told Genter: “Both. Many flight attendants see the in-flight tip program as a way to supplement their income.”
And I thought having to push credit cards on Delta and AA was bad.

Haha. Ridiculous.
What a stupid stupid business move.
Passengers on ULCCs are already hair triggered about losing it over the perceived “nickel and diming” of the business model. Having a tip option is enough to push borderline passengers over the “nickel and dime” edge.

I don’t see the big deal.
It’s an option, if you don’t agree with it just select no tip. If a passenger thinks someone went above and beyond and wants to tip someone that’s up to them.
People have already been tipping FA’s for years when they were paying cash for drinks. The CC only option made tha difficult until now.

What is wrong with flight attendants making extra money? I know back when everything was cash only, many business travelers tipped the flight attendants. I know because I am married to one.
Do you think it is sad watching legacy carriers rip these same passengers off with higher fares?
It is all about money. At least in this case the passenger has a choice and the employee reaps the reward.
Not so sad.

It’s been an option for some time.
But the fact that the airline is publicizing it is concerning. Hmmm, right before they start working towards a new contract for the FAs too. I can hear the argument now for reduced FA wages.....
But just to disagree with Butthert—
I think it’s ridiculous to even have to deselect the option to tip. I don’t want to tip FAs, coffee makers, or anyone at a walk up counter. Heck, Jersey Mike’s was asking for tips the other day. That being said, I tip well when it’s deserved or earned. I just hate the growing expectations of tips from groups who, historically, you would not normally tip. Rant over.

While there is a large element of saftey related items to the Flight attendants position, they are primarily there to serve. Some are very patient, funny, helpful and can make or break a flight. I don't mind tipping my waitress or bartender for making my time spent enjoyable, so why would I mind tipping my flight attendant?

You're going to be looking for tips on how to "get out of" the PTC language because Uncle Billy can't wait for you to vote yes. You're probably a FPL/INC "guy" though so you won't be affected.
