How many years is the contract? I heard someone say it was 8 years, but surely they can't be serious.
6 Month Earlier Opener if the union wants it. Company Bad Faith Bargaining Begins: July 1, 2023. MEC Incentivised Open Time Flying Period / Vacation Cancellations Begin: January 2024. Ends: January 2026. AIP: May 2026 with the early opener. 7 years, 4 months. |

I bet if you concentrate real hard you can reconcile that 4.5 + 2.9 = 7.4 I guess we're to assume that you didn't know what you voted on? |

Bro, you gotta quit sampling those blue goods. We were in negotiations for just shy of 3 years with the early opener.

Could someone please elaborate on travel benefits for immediate and extended family please? I'm having some difficulty locating anything concrete. Thank you...

The question was how long is the contract, not your estimate. The contract is 5 years with a 6 month early opener.

When does health insurance coverage start for a new hire?
Is there a PPO/HMO with a co-pay? |

You may substitute 1 for 1 for your spouse, mother, and father. Your substitutes can be anyone, but subs must pay a yield fare for each Frontier flight (though travel is unlimited). One substitute that you designate may have access to several ZEDs (most are excluded, but JetBlue and IcelandAir are included). The other substitutes get no ZED access. We get 28 buddy passes a year (1 segment = 1 buddy pass). MCO-PWM is 1 pass (2 Round Trip). MCO-DEN-SEA is 2 buddy passes (4 RT). Each holiday you work you earn 4 more buddy passes. Finally, anyone listed on your travel benefits is eligible for the EZ20 fares. It’s 20% off the lowest available price to the general public at the time of booking. This is positive space and includes a checked and a carry on bag. Many employees take advantage of this benefit. |

Is there a PPO/HMO with a co-pay? There are multiple options for health insurance. I believe all are PPO. There’s a High Deductible plan with HSA option, a traditional plan with 80/20 coverage, and then the “legacy” plan that has high coverage and extremely high premiums. Most do the HSA or traditional plan. Personally I prefer the HSA. |

Health insurance begins on the 1st of the month FOLLOWING the month in which you start training.

At JB, coverage begins the first after your first full calendar month, so if you started April 11th, coverage wouldn’t begin until June 1st. |
