I’ll admit that might knock some of the edge off for me. To each their own but I would consider that a meaningful positive gesture. It’s not like two weeks matters but not waiting until the last day would sort of be nice of them.

Take a deep breath and then consider the "bonus" a retirement benefit.
If you don't have an after-tax investment account open already, open one today. Once the bonus hits your bank account, immediately move those funds into your after tax investment account. The only reason to spend ANY of the bonus is to pay down high-interest debt. Once your high-interest debt is serviced you should invest everything else.
You will thank yourself in five years, ten years, twenty years etc....
This is especially true if all of your savings are in pre-tax dollars. You are going to be killed in retirement by taxes if all of your savings are in an IRA.
Don't spend the bonus! Think long term.
