There is no number, but what is reasonable to the company sounds like 12 days. The company wants to get a number out of the union so that they have something more than vague words to work with, and it will work. Otherwise, in time the company with bring this to an arbitrator who will determine when a pilot should be required to furnish proof regarding the absence.

From an ALPA E-mail as I was reading this:
"As you are aware the Company distributed a Dependability and Reliability policy to the pilot group earlier this week. We met with the Company to discuss our concerns with respect to language in the policy that was contrary to the CBA and the law. As a result of our meeting, the Company has retracted the policy".

I’m proud to be an Alpa member.
Keep up the good work MEC.

Perspective new hires: This is the kinda BS you can expect for as long as indigo owns us. Just because we have a new contract doesnt mean things are all warm and fuzzy over here.
I do want to thank ALPA on this one, I feel like this got handled exactly as it should have. It just should have never happened in the first place.
