New bases

Any news about F9 opening a new base? I had heard that F9 was considering two more bases this year

Considering is the operative word.

It WILL happen. Whether it's KRDU, EGLC, CYXY, or KGYY remains to be seen.

My bet's on Gary, IN.

They stated it was the goal to open 2 more bases by years end. Makes sense if they are running classes of 30+ a month and want to keep their bases around 100 crews.

So frontier just posted a picture of the newest plane. “Lone star” the Longhorn and had a #sanantonio

In my interview they said how they like to name planes after base cities. Supposedly “peachy” the Fox was because they were planning to open Atlanta before it changed to Philly.

Anyway thought it was interesting since there’s all ready rumors of a Texas base soon.

I for one would sure like a Texas base. Make my life a whole lot easier!

That was an airplane they posted a poll for the name. They did this in Austin and San Antonio about 6-8 months ago.

It’s a snake. Called “Peeler”.

emersonbiguns 04-06-2019 07:25 PM

I thought it was Courtney the Cougar?

Good grief. If either of these are right that's weird. We have a rattler every now and then around there but that's it. We don't have Cougars.

I found this site with pics of F9's livery: http://aeropx.com/collection/frontier-airlines-fleet

I guess the roadrunner, coyote and the big horn sheep would make some sense...all of those are around here (especially coyotes).

Oh, I guarantee, you've got a cougar named Courtney in Vegas.
