Is that when F9 restarts contract negotiations again? 4 years? I thought I heard it was longer.

I believe about 4 years from now negotiations can open. The contract is amendable in about 4.5 years. Negotiations take 2 - ?? Years.

Management cant afford to drag the next one out. I believe we will negotiate early.

You have no clue whether or not management will drag out the next one and you know it.

I do have several clues and they all point to a contract being signed sooner rather than later. Most likely early

Either way we will all be making ALOT more when the time comes, if we need to hold out we will.

I'm fortunate to have an offer at Frontier. I currently am at a AA WO. I'm still about 3 or so years from flowing.

I love the idea of either living/commuting to LAS or DEN (drive to Vegas, flight to Denver, or move).

I'll have 30 year career at F9, as opposed to 26-27 years at AA.

With the projected growth at F9 I feel now would be a good time to get in. Additionally, I would also say F9 is, and will be, more financially stable than AA (debatable/who knows).

All my WO buddies say wait for the flow (retirement numbers, WB Capt., too big to fail, etc.) I'm interested in the F9 pilot perspective. If you were in the same shoes (knowing what you know about F9) what would you do? Give up your spot in line to AA, or go F9. Appreciate any answers.
I would take the Job at Frontier, flow is over rated. A lot can happen in 3 years and seniority is everything. I would rather be stuck at Frontier than a WO if and when the economy takes a dump. Where would you rather be stuck long term if things dont go as planned. Who is to say you can't apply to American from Frontier if it turns out American is what you really want.

I think your crystal ran out of gypsy tears. No one in this pilot group has any indication of management’s future behavior, except one, their past behavior.

Good post. The one prior was comical. Your looking at 6-8 yr at the earliest before the next deal.
No reason for the company to sign earlier than that.
