You pay a $50 annual fee for access to the following...

Unlimited free flights on Frontier for employee, spouse, parents, and children. All of the above are also able to ZED on multiple domestic & foreign carriers. None of the big 3 are included, but Southwest, JetBlue, and Spirit are.

If you’re not married you may substitute out someone for your spouse. They get unlimited space available travel as well but must pay a yield fare. Same substitution allowed for each parent. Of your substitutes, you may choose 1 who can have access to ZEDs. The list for them is shorter than the list for you though, but I do know still includes JetBlue.

You get 28 buddy passes annually. These are per segment. They’re $36.30 each and include 2 checked + 1 carry-on. If you work a holiday then you add 4 more buddy passes to your account for that year.

You’re welcome. It’s changed slightly since 2019. No more $50 annual fee, but it’s now $1.50/segment per person to non-rev. There’s also a $7.50/segment per person booking fee for buddy passes. If you don’t non-rev much, this is actually better. If you do, it can get more expensive with a large family especially.

Did the OP stick with the flow? Have a feeling it’s gonna be longer than 3 years now.

As my friend at WO told me a few years ago, "5 year flow is what was advertised. In indoc they told us it is about 7 now. Now that I've been here for a year, it's about 9 now". I can only imagine it is a bit more now.

right. One of our negotiators was AMR. 2015ish when he had to make his final decision to return he was within 75 numbers of his seniority on September 11.14 years to move up 75 numbers. That was enough for me to never apply.

I worked for a WO carrier prior to coming here. When I was hired there, those flowing had about 17 years of seniority. Had I stayed, I would've flowed about 8 1/2 years after being hired...in February of 2020 to be immediately furloughed. The whole process is entirely dependent on AA's hiring needs. It seems the general consensus is that AA will be in the worst shape to hire in the near term. In my opinion, flow is mostly a tool for AA to keep their regional feed staffed and to a lesser extent to have a fairly steady flow of new hires when they are hiring.

Default Upgrade

How does upgrade work at Frontier? Estimates are 3-4 years but is that based on flight time you accumulate, seniority due to time aboard, etc?

like any other US carrier; it’s seniority based. Company requires 500h in the Airbus, and naturally you have to meet the requirements of 121.436
You can make an CA seat in a list of bases as per of a standing bid. FLICA offers a ‘what if’ tool tool to see where you stand.

Upgrade is based on seniority by date of hire. When captain vacancies are posted, anyone who wants it can bid for it. The most senior pilots to bid for it will be awarded the captain positions. It doesn’t sound like you’re coming from a previous airline, so you will also need to meet the FAA experience requirements of 1000 SIC in 121 operations OR 1000 hours of PIC in turbojets with 10 passenger seats or more operated under 135. I believe 500 hours of military jet time can count towards the 1000 hours as well. I’m any case, by the time you have the seniority to hold the left seat you will have easily met the 1000 hours of SIC time.
