Has anybody heard anything about classes ramping in November? Interviewed in February and was told I would be in the January class when they called in August, they also said that there weren’t any classes scheduled before December. Just curious to see if anybody has any word.

My money is on them having a November class, but that’s based on the December class moving up to Sept (for 8 people) and 10-12 in the Oct class. They could pause in Nov, but why?

A friend of a friend (eye know ) spoke to the CP and was told the “official” start of classes is December. But the CP admitted there was not a planned September class either and there are is a small group going through now. He said he wouldn’t be surprised if there is an October class (apparently this is true now) and a November class as well. But UFN plan normal size classes resuming in December and then ramping up to double classes in the spring when they implement the new training footprint.

Bad news for the poolies is that nothing trembles (i.e. urgency in any form) on the CP/hiring side until BB issues an edict to ramp up or hold a class short notice (has happened in prior years), and no matter how fast (hah) that office might scramble, unless guys are bivouacked outside HQ, it’s just not possible.

Every year hiring slows/stops in spring (for sim PI summer leave) and fall (ibid for Xmas), so this year when we were told “nope, hiring will continue through summer”,...well, let’s say “skeptical” is putting it mildly..........

Just too much for a couple of people with a dozen other jobs to accomplish with anything resembling possible........

Does anyone know if you already have the A320 type rating, FAA issued, if you still have to do the whole type ride at a new 121 carrier?
