Default Karbon Aviator II

So, it looks like we've got a functional, flexible cold weather jacket option...

That we've got to pay for...

AND buy a hat to wear along with it...

$175 for the jacket
$99 for the liner
$20 for the name tag/wings
$?? for another set of epaulets
$??? for a hat

It needs to be 70-76 with light breeze to get me to do a walk around. So not a chance I’m going to wear a damn hat for a jacket crappy jacket.

So... should be all collectively agree to not do the hat? If we all get the new jacket and none of us wear the hat maybe they'll let it slide?

Wishful thinking of course, but I do wonder how much they will try to enforce the hat policy? I do like the jacket and I do want it. It's a more convenient option than the blazer. It's warmer and you can wear it out on an overnight.

All in favor of not adhering to the hat policy say aye!

I'm guessing the company weaseled around the CBA by making it "optional"? At the very least if you optionally buy the jacket, they should buy the hat since it's a required item.

It's a big no thanks from me.

You'll pry my north face from my cold dead hands... Because I had to wear my blazer on the walk around during the winter. Im not paying $2-3xx for that and a hat.

You know the clowns at the emerald castle are telling the CPO to make sure we're in compliance.

"We paid nothing for this and dammit, they will comply!"

I’m scratching my head. Any idea what, or who, was the impetus behind the hat condition? Is there anyone besides Delta that still mandates a hat? And, why is F9 trying to revive a hat in such a oblique way?

Honestly, I think there’s a lot bigger “professional appearance” issues to address than new jacket with hat compliance.

Has anyone ever been called out on anything regarding uniforms or appearance?

Anyone have access to mandhuniforms.com to check the price of a hat?

apparently it can from the top because how good we looked wearing the hat during negotiations. didn’t ALPA strongly encourage the hat during the marches?
