How long has Republic had that MIA base?
Then ask yourself how much longer it will stick around if AA does not renew their contract with RPA?
Sounds like you are somewhat new to this industry?
Its not a bad thing and nothing to take offense to.
Like others have said though, put F9s contract and pay rates against the very best regional.
and none will even come close.
Even if you commute it’s a no brainer.

Alright my post was misconstrued a bit. I know no matter what, I'd get to MIA at F9 eventually. I just hope it's not years, but would obviously prefer it be either initially or not too far out of training. Just came to verify everything else I've been reading about it going junior. My main sell is I'm already living minutes from the airport, I'm not exactly young anymore, married, and desire to stay in the area. I've already moved across the country several times in my career because my wife is also a pilot and living in base makes our lives easier from a family standpoint. Wherever I go next will likely be my last stop. I don't have the 4-year degree, so that limits my options. When I say I'm coming for a career, I mean it. Not wanting to give up what I've got at YX is purely prioritizing family, which no one should be faulted for. No regional is ideal, but the company has treated me well, and I'm able to have a very nice work/life balance with them.

Make the jump, don’t stay at a regional regardless of how good it is now. I’ve flown with guys that made the switch, some where captains at regionals and one was there 22 years. He was very glad to make this jump. You can figure out year one pay issues and you are coming over early enough to have MIA. Throw you app there and see what happens and good luck.
