It doesn’t work like that. They can’t just start canceling flying if they don’t get enough colas. Tickets are normally sold months in advance. There’s government penalties for canceling last min. Now what I just said is in a normal environment. Who know what the regulations are right now? Bottom line the company doesn’t make block decisions based on colas. They make them based on loads and more than likely government mandates for accepting grants. I have a feeling once pilots get a look at May lines they’ll get enough May colas. Also they have the ability to waive the vac or training cola restrictions to get more. So knowing that if you want a May cola and have vac or a training grace month I would still bid for one.

The martyrdom is driving me crazy. Everybody knew COLAs would be free to a good home. And no, I (a commuter) didn’t take the COLA. Why? Too much money to give up. Own it.

Seems to be changing on a daily basis. I’m not sure telling us a ballpark would accomplish anything? If you want a cola bid for one. How would Putting out a number influence my decision? What will influence my decision is seeing May lines. That was the problem with April colas. The schedules were basically normal.

Because they don’t even know what they need.

I just want to say that as a new hire, despite everything that’s going on in the industry, I’m very thankful to be a part of a pilot group where people are making decisions off what they think is best for that of the whole. I’m a commuter... and I just want to say, it means a lot. Thank you.

So where was the delay in May line bidding announced? I didn't see anything in Comply or email from union. When is it delayed until?

If you aren’t signed up with textcaster, I would do that. It’s the only info I’ve received about it.

[email protected]:
Due to cont'd May Sched uncertainty, bidding will be delayed. Please standby for more info as we work thru details w/company.
