Default Class date??

Calling all CJO's that were offered an April class date before classed being pushed back. There is a rumor going around that a new class date in the works. I figure if there was any truth to that, ya'll would know first. Please let us know if you have heard anything from training. As far as I know, there are no classes scheduled. I would hate to sit reserve until next year.

The training department told people today that were asking, that this is not true. Sorry no new classes until COLAs are no longer being offered at the bare minimum.

Planning on it. All good things come to those who are patient. Hopefully, we all get out of this slump soon. Sad times!

There is no way that we will be hiring any time soon.

I am not so sure. This equation will basically depend on how society will act during post-reopening.

Which is the biggest "unknown": confidence you can travel today and not end up in an ICU two weeks from now. 350 million different views on this. Collectively, there will be a trend. And this will determine recovery speed.

US markets up today (could be down again tomorrow, true). It shows some optimism. Jerome Powell saying economy recovering during 2nd semester...

Mach 75, hang in there, man! F9 is a great company, with great people, awesome group of pilots, great financial condition in relation to most of the others, and all "prerequisites" for great recovery and, who knows, an even greater market share in the future.

Best of luck!

If i was a gambler I would be betting on this happening.

Private equity, ULCC, lean and nimble route structure. It is THE place to be.

While I don't want to be a D. Downer and burst your bubble; I think you haven't fully grasped the severity of the situation we're all in.
I absolutely agree we're very well positioned for real medium to long term growth; in the short term; as someone who has been on RSV for nearly 18 months I don't think another year waiting by the phone is anything like the worst case scenario. Anyone in the bottom 40% in any airline is walking around with the sword of Damocles over their heads. We may recover quickly; and I certainly hope so, but there's a whole lot of street out there waiting for us too....

Mach,

I am an April hire as well and just as concerned. For what it’s worth F9 has done a great job of sending out updates and keeping me feel somewhat in the loop. Might not be soon for a training date, but I do believe the CJO will be honored for quite sometime as we get through this COVID mess. All opinion here with no proof whatsoever except for positive email traffic once a month. Good luck to all of us and stay patient if you can. See you out there.

Pilot hiring = response to a company's belief it needs pilots.

currently, they are paying people to sit home.

need pilots ?
