Whatever happened with LOA 67?
I left before the new contract came into effect but I remember there was quite a bit of rancor over LOA 67 and the company’s refusal to honor the terms. Was it ever resolved?

IIRC, ALPA took the matter to federal court, filing in a rather labor friendly district in Illinois; and yet we got stuck with the most un-friendly judge possible for that district. I remember researching his decisions on labor matters, all of which seemed to side with the company. If we continued down that path I don’t think we would have liked the outcome, we were just using it for leverage in negotiations.

The LOA67 grievance was settled as a condition of the ratifying the new CBA which included the ratification “bonus.”

That happens in negotiations. Especially when the language is weak which it was (would have been helpful to tie the average pay rates to actual airlines). Best to not take it personally and use the arbitration ruling as leverage going forward. That happened and increased our bonus check to some extent.

Guys that had equity in frontier just got their pay outs at the beginning of the year right before the market tanked and probably had the highest evaluation you could’ve dreamed of before the airlines tanked.

“If it wasn’t for us, you wouldn’t have a job today”
“this airline use to be a family”
”What happened to us being a Denver Airline?”
”I went to Metro State and have a place up in Fort Collins”
