Loads were good today

The check airman flight attendant on my last flight said they haven't heard anything when we are bringing back inflight service. I bring my own water with me just in case now. In ground school a while back, a management type said we only make $1 on any snack or beverage. So not sure if it was really a big money maker anyhow.

I thought the same thing, a genuine question but missing the point. It blows me away how many people just are not getting the gravity of the situation. I think the management at Frontier made the right moves as quick as they possibly could have been expected to when COVID-19 broke out. I don’t think they should change how they operate inflight for an extra buck right now as virus infections are surging out of control, and I think other airlines would be wise to scale their service back to protect passengers and employees.

I actually think it was a good idea that was rolled out poorly. If you’re going to hold back seats to reduce the number of passengers then allowing people to pay 40 bucks to control their level of perceived risk wasn’t unreasonable at all in my view. Management should have anticipated that it could have been (and was) seen as profiteering off of a pandemic. You can’t profit off of anything when you’re losing money in the first place. It could have been rolled out a lot better and I understand why it was viewed by the public, press, and politicians so negatively.

he’s DL, part of his job description includes talking down on other airlines any chance he gets. It’s somewhere in the FOM between the hat language and the “ATC was wrong, you’re never wrong, argue about it on frequency” language company culture
