I realize that these types of people are the minority, but it's really amazing how some pilot's "legacy egos" are so large and fragile that they refuse to believe or admit that a lowly ULCC could be performing better than their beloved behemoth legacy. It's ironic that we are told that we're living in a fantasy land when they are living in such a world of denial. MOST pilots should be happy to see that an airline or two is hanging in there without the fear of total collapse...regardless of said airline's position on the "ego scale". I swear, pilots like this probably honestly believe that the protections laws on THEIR Airbus are set to "expert mode" while all the ones at ULCCs are set to "beginner".

Like most Internet experts he is more then willing to “call it out” but unwilling to do the work it would take to prove why. So I appreciate your opinion but until you can add something to the discussing other then your “expert opinion” I’ll let you get back to trolling.

Jesus dude.... how much proof do you need to understand that cash burn rate alone doesn't mean jack ****?? I'm not pretending to be an expert - it only requires basic cognition to understand the flaw in the statement he made. However, It does take an advanced inferiority complex to deny and argue the point. Have a nice day.
I get there are more things to it but when companies are losing millions daily, a basic cash burn is a pretty good number to start with.

Yup. Especially when it was near 4. That’s a 75% reduction. If you want to convert it to time, at current demand, it’s well over a year BEFORE touching the loan. Everyone’s goal right now is zero. We’re getting close.

Hey how do you know there’s an airline pilot in the room?
Don't worry they’ll tell ya.

Unless you have the ability to know and crunch the numbers the burn rate is worthless. WN has a burn rate of about 17 mil a month but they also have a ton of cash and assets so they clearly could ride this out much longer than Spirit or Frontier.

You're not a public company and you don’t provide the data required for an apples to apples comparison. DOT-41 data is hardly tell all numbers.

He rates up there with your company apologists (aero and toga) that rant about how F9 made money in 2q then support your substandard COLAs. Bottom line is you guys got your azzez handed to you by Franky and Indigo.
As for your survival, I think you have a pretty damn good chance as long as Indigo keeps emptying those pockets in F9. I'm pretty sure they see the US as the best possible country to recover some of their investment back from their attempt at world domination. Their domination seemed plausible and like a great idea pre covid, I'm not so sure now. Though given the fact they never made it to IPO, maybe it wasn't working out as planned? Time will tell.
That's just my 2¢ and worth exactly that about Indigo and F9. I'm spot on though about the dumb$hit from SWA. 😊

I never said that the 35 hour cola was anything other than substandard. I did however point out that since it was completely optional, and was in no way a concession, it wasn't worth getting too upset about. Any time your company pays you money and benefits to sit home and not work for an extended period of time (especially during a business crisis) its a good deal.
Southwest and United (among others) offered more lucrative leaves of absence than us. No question. But they are also going to be looking at contract concessions. We aren't. Southwest has already asked the pilots to take a pay cut, and I guarantee United will follow. I don't need to apologize for Frontier.
Best of luck to all, and I mean that whole heartedly
